Asset Management
System – Selection and Procurement
We are currently
specifying and selecting a new maintenance
management solution for a major maintenance
provider. This includes developing detailed
functional specifications, market evaluation and
implementation strategy.
Business Planning
Process – mapping and development
For a major UK metro
asset management business we are developing detailed
processes for asset planning production, which
involves working with representatives from across
the whole business to design detailed business
processes that can be used to control the complex
planning process. These ‘as is’ processes are being
used to first optimise the current planning process,
and then to develop new approaches to drive business
performance. The goal is to take out several months
and half the cost of operating the current planning
process, whilst delivering a higher quality output
that drives business performance.

We have recently
supported the development of a statement of
requirements which included an ITT framework for the
selection of a new business planning tool for a
major UK metro asset management business.
Existing Asset
Management System – Audit and Migration
We undertook a
detailed three month audit of how the Voyager
application was being used by one of the largest bus
groups in the UK detailing shortfalls and
functionality required for a system upgrade. We have
also assisted a major UK transport company in the
successful migration from Voyager to a new system.
Asset Management
Systems – Implementation
For a large European
bus company with seventeen depots and in excess of
four hundred end users, we implemented a Fleet
Management application. The project incorporated not
only the complexities of implementing the software
itself but also managing a translation process and
large number of interfaces. The project was
delivered on-time, to budget and to the customer
specification.
For a major UK rail
operator with 3 large depots and a number of
outstations and a fleet of over 300 trains, we
implemented a Fleet Management application that
included all elements of workshop control, stock
management and procurement.

Developing highly
effective implementation programmes to deliver
installation of sophisticated condition monitoring
systems in European locations.
Asset Management
System – Interfaces
We have experience in
developing and successfully implementing a wide
variety of interfaces including; Operational systems
such as Genius, Finance systems such as Oracle, Coda
and Open Accounts as well as Human Resources
packages and complex workflow solutions.
Asset Management
System – Re-Implementations
Working for a UK
asset management solution provider, we won an
internal award for turning around the development
and implementation of their asset management
software tool. The end customer was preparing to
revert back to legacy applications and spreadsheets.
With our assistance, within three months the
implementation was a success and we were able to
provide the company with an outstanding reference
site.
One of our major
clients recently asked us to revitalise a failing
implementation for one of their key accounts. The
project involved process improvements, technical
enhancements and a reduced re-implementation. Again,
the project was successfully completed.
